Talented Leeds United youngster Charlie Cresswell has signed a new contract with the club and fans are absolutely delighted.

The new two-and-a-half deal will see him stay at Elland Road until 2023 and take him through until he's 20.

By that time, Leeds fans are hoping that the centre-back will have done enough to force his way into the first team as a regular.

He's already got first-team experience. He played 90 minutes in the EFL Cup this season against Hull, which unfortunately ended with Leeds losing 10-9 on penalties.

Cresswell himself has set his sights on getting in the FA Cup squad this season.

Talking to LUTV after signing his deal he said, "I’m over the moon to sign a new contract. This is a club very close to my heart, so I’m delighted to be staying here.

"I want to impress the manager and hopefully I can get on the bench for a couple of games and make the FA Cup squad."

It's been a whirlwind year for the 18-year-old. The England Under-19 international was recently promoted to the Under-23s and has made seven Premier League 2 appearances this season.

Plenty of supporters are convinced he's going to be a big player for the club in the future.

Here are the best reactions from delighted Leeds fans, with one saying that he can see Cresswell as a future England player. That's how highly the fans think of him...
