‘Disgrace’, ‘Atrocious’, ‘Joke’ – Many Leeds fans tear key player to shreds at HT v Man Utd
Leeds United fans have blasted midfielder Mateusz Klich for his first-half performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Klich, 30, has been ever-present for the Whites this season, starting every single Premier League matches.
The Poland international was one of the most impressive players in the opening stages of the campaign, leading to Marcelo Bielsa saying in November that “he can play in all the best teams in the world“.
However, that statement could not be further from the truth based on Klich’s performance against Man United.
It is harsh just to single Klich out because no Leeds player was good enough in what was a humiliating, embarrassing opening 45 minutes at Old Trafford.
It’s the first time the Whites have played their great rivals in the league in 16 years but it seems that the players totally missed that memo.
None of them turned up, but Klich has found himself getting torn to shreds on Twitter, with one fan saying that he’s a “joke”.

Klich can play well.
Bielsa is a brilliant manager who’s very careful about his words so he would not have said that about Klich unless the player’s performance had backed it up.
And based on his displays earlier in the season, you can understand why he said it.
But that opening 45 at Old Trafford was a horror show.
He wasn’t offering anything going forward and especially wasn’t doing enough defensively as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were rampant.
We’d be shocked if Bielsa doesn’t make all three substitutions at half-time.
