Leeds United already had a tough task ahead of them at Anfield in their first Premier League game back in over 16 years.

But it got so much harder after a really harsh penalty decision after just four minutes of the match.

The ball struck Robin Koch on the arm but it deflected off a leg and despite VAR checking it, it was awarded.

It was a massive blow for Leeds but they didn’t lose their heads.

They had the ball in the net shortly after through Helder Costa but it was, rightly, adjudged to be offside.

When the Leeds equalising goal did come it was an absolute peach – and the Leeds fans went into meltdown.

Jack Harrison has never quite delivered what we think he’s capable of but the touch and shot that gave him his first Premier League goal was absolutely world-class.

His touch took him away from Trent Alexander-Arnold and the powerful low shot from 20 yards was too much for Allison.

In all the excitement it was easy to forget Kalvin Phillips’ brilliant pass to pick Harrison out – so here’s a video to remind you of it. That’s why he’s in the England squad.

The first half of the game ended 3-2 in a wildly entertaining first half, with some dodgy defending from both sides and Liverpool ended up 4-3 winners.

Harisson was out man of the match, though, and we’re excited about seeing him in the Premier League this season.

Here are the best reactions to Harrison’s goal and display on Saturday…
