Dan Bardell believes talk of Daniel Farke being sacked by Leeds United is too early after a turbulent summer transfer window.

It has been a difficult start to the season for the Whites having drawn their opening two Championship games and losing 3-0 to Middlesbrough in the League Cup.

This has seen some sections of the support at Elland Road question the manager's future after failing to achieve promotion last season.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks the transfer window has been difficult to navigate so Farke deserves more time.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: "Leeds are a big club and have got a demanding fan base which isn't a bad thing.

"I think it is too early to be talking about Farke going.

"They didn't go up but he did a great job last season and he has shown in his time in England, with Norwich and Leeds, that he will have his team in and around promotion.

"I think when you consider the players they've lost and the lack of investment, calling for his head is very premature."

Leeds United urged to give Daniel Farke more time

Leeds had a largely successful campaign under the stewardship of the German despite losing out on promotion to Southampton.

The hangover from this defeat has extended into the new season with the Whites yet to secure a win in the opening three fixtures.

There has been a general lack of positivity surrounding Elland Road given the transfer window they have had.

Selling key players like Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter is just the tip of the iceberg and could eventually see Farke lose his job.

The former Norwich boss should be given more time as there aren't many better out there at securing promotion from the Championship right now.
