Paul Robinson wants Leeds United to send Cody Drameh out on loan
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson is backing a move that sees Leeds United talent Cody Drameh join Eredivise club Cambuur on loan.
Drameh, 19, is one of the club’s brightest young talents and played a major role at right-back last season the Under-23s won the Premier League 2 Division 2 title.
The former Fulham full-back is yet to earn a first-team debut for the Whites but made Marcelo Bielsa’s bench for the 2-2 draw with Everton earlier this month.

Robinson feels that Drameh needs more first-team experience and luckily, he’s attracting attention ahead of the end of the transfer window.
Omrop Fryslan journalist Andor Faber reported via his personal Twitter account last week that Cambuur want to sign Drameh.
And Robinson feels it would be really beneficial for Drameh to go there as long as he gets regular game-time.
“I’m a big fan of the younger players going out on loan to get experience of senior football rather than playing in the Under-23s,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“I think the Under-23s harvests a mentality of that you’ve made it as a footballer when actually, if you get to around 21 or 22 and you’re not around the first-team, you’re not going to make it at the club you’re at.
“It gives youngsters a false sense of security that they’re going to be professional footballers.
“I’m a big advocate of young players going out on loan.
“If players from the age of 18 to 20 get the chance to go out on loan, learn the game properly, I’m a fan of that.”
In other Leeds United news, Dharmesh Sheth has shared a major transfer update from Elland Road ahead of deadline day.
