Leeds United to sign Ryan Kent on cut-price deal as Jose Mourinho stance emerges at Fenerbahce
Paul Robinson has urged Leeds United to sign Fenerbahce’s Ryan Kent after a new development emerged at the Turkish club.
New manager Jose Mourinho is not a fan of the former Rangers winger, according to Haber Ekspres [31 July], reportedly leading to the Whites submitting an offer of around £2.5million.
While the player still has three years left on his contract in Turkey [BBC Sport], Robinson believes Leeds could be getting him for even cheaper than the £2.5million being reported due to his relationship with Mourinho.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “I think Leeds can get him for even less if the new manager doesn’t want him. With £2.5million being mooted, I reckon they could get him for a couple of million euros instead (£1.7m).
“He’s been heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League or Championship for a long time, and he’s at an age now where he would fit the mould of a Daniel Farke player – how hard-working he is, not afraid of defensive duties.
“If they can pick him up for a minimal fee, he would be very good addition to the squad.”
Leeds United to replace Crysencio Summerville with Ryan Kent?
There is no way that Daniel Farke will not be attempting to replace Crysencio Summerville following his departure to West Ham United this summer.
The 22-year-old Dutchman was named Championship Player of the Season, notching 19 goals and nine assists in the division, and he will leave a gaping hole in the Leeds squad.

While Kent’s career has stalled massively since leaving Rangers last summer, making just 19 appearances for Fenerbahce, a move to the Championship could help reignite his footballing journey.
If the player is available for under £2.5million, there is little risk attached to the transfer move this summer and could provide a new and exciting talent on the left flank.
He notched 33 goals and 56 assists in 218 total appearances for Rangers during two spells at Ibrox.
