Leeds United to sell multiple stars in Archie Gray transfer development
Dan Bardell has backed Leeds United to sell multiple first-team players in a bid to keep Archie Gray at the club this summer.
After missing out on promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs to Southampton, the Whites will almost certainly be forced to make sales this summer.
This has seen the likes of Ilia Gruev linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, with £15million said to be enough for Leeds to accept [TEAMtalk].
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes that Daniel Farke may be prepared to lose many players in an attempt to keep hold of Gray beyond this summer.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: “I think Leeds are in a position at the moment where they’ll look to sell two or three first-team players and reinvest that money and spend less than they make.
“They’d rather that than sell Archie Gray. I think the Leeds Fans will loathe losing him now after the season he’s had.
“The way I look at it, the club would rather do that than lose him with him being the heartbeat of the team. After not being promoted, the loss of him would be more than losing two or three others.“
Leeds United to fight to keep Archie Gray
The Englishman has come through the Leeds academy and had an excellent season where they were unlucky not to be promoted.
His performances at just 18-years-old has attracted interest from various clubs, especially while the Whites are in the Championship.
Bayern Munich are supposedly one team who are ready to test the resolve of Farke and Co. over a potential move for Archie Gray [Graeme Bailey].
A move to the Bundesliga giants may be difficult for Gray to turn down and may be tough for Leeds to turn down if the fee offered is huge.
Farke will back his team’s chances of getting promoted next season after a season where they accrued 90 points and just fell away at the last hurdle.

The investment from Red Bull may help ease some financial issues and allow star names to stay for at least one more season.
Leeds fans will be desperate to keep hold of Gray, who will be integral to the team moving forward.
