Leeds United in conversation to sign Lennon Miller as transfer battle heats up
Paul Robinson believes Leeds United will only be involved in the transfer battle to sign Lennon Miller if they secure promotion to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s side are just one of many teams keeping tabs on the Motherwell midfielder, according to TBR Football, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham all credited with interest.
It is understood that a deal for the 18-year-old Scot could rise above £5million, a fee which Robinson only believes Leeds will be able to afford if they get out of the Championship this season.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “Lennon is a very sought-after player, with both Celtic and Rangers looking at him. Rangers can’t afford him and Celtic can afford him, though they’ll likely balk at the asking price as I think many will.
“There’s a lot of teams south of the border looking at him – he’s a bright, young talent. He’s got great experience and has a lot of first-team experience for someone his age. I don’t think it’s a deal to be done in January.
Leeds United to sign Lennon Miller as Motherwell gem impresses
“He’s without doubt one of the brightest young talents north of the border, and Leeds won’t be the only team looking. Motherwell are sitting on a pot of gold and they know it.
“Leeds are in the conversation, like many others, but they’re only in the conversation moving forward if they claim promotion to the Premier League. They might get priced out of it, however.”

Miller has already made 59 first-team appearances for the Steelmen but has yet to earn his call-up to the Scotland national team despite Rangers’ Connor Barron being picked recently.
There is already a long queue out the door to secure Miller’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window, and Leeds have thrown their name into the hat for what would be quite a statement signing.
