Leeds United fans told to be patient with Max Wober after latest transfer admission
Dan Bardell believes Max Wober will help Leeds United to promotion if supporters back him.
The Austria international has come under fire since returning to Elland Road with sections of the stadium jeering him during pre-season.
Despite this, the 26-year-old revealed that he didn’t want to leave, saying: “I’m at Leeds, that’s a perfect fit for me” [Sky Sports Austria].
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has urged fans to back the defender who could help the Whites to promotion this season.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: “He’s definitely a player who is better than the Championship.
“He’s played in the Champions League and for his country so at Championship level, it’s a good thing for Leeds to have him at the club.
“I do understand the grievances that Leeds fans have because those windows with Jesse Marsch signings were frustrating.
“He’s probably been tarred with that brush but I would suggest if Leeds fans give him some time, they’ve got a player who is too good for the division and could help them back to the Premier League.“
Leeds United urged to back Max Wober
Alongside Brenden Aaronson, the supporters at Elland Road weren’t best pleased with the duo for leaving on loan last season.
With that being said, there were plenty of departures throughout the summer but the duo returned and are now sticking around for the upcoming Championship season.
After a campaign in the Bundesliga as a regular with Borussia Monchengladbach, returning to the English second tier feels like a step-down.

If the former Ajax man can step up and find some top form under Daniel Farke this season, he could prove to be the difference between promotion and another year in the league.
