Leeds must take January signing risk, could lead to major windfall – Paul Robinson

Paul Robinson has insisted that Leeds United have no choice but to spend money in the January transfer window.

The ex-Whites stopper has urged his former club to throw cash at signings, a risk that will be rewarded with a major windfall should they remain in the Premier League.

Leeds currently have numerous injuries to key players such as Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford as they linger above the relegation zone.

“They’ve got no choice but to do business in January,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“Kalvin Phillips is out for a length of time, and the number of injuries they had at the start of the season, Leeds have got no option other than to go into the transfer market.

“The reward for staying in the Premier League far outweighs the risk of not signing a player, what they would spend in January, they would get back tenfold for staying in the Premier League.

Get it done.

Victor Orta simply has no choice but to go out and bring numerous new signings to Elland Road next month.

The Spaniard is notorious for completing his business in the summer, but he will have a list ready for January to strengthen the squad.

A midfielder is said to be top of the list, and it is time for the club to put their money where their mouths are.

Staying in the Premier League is a goldmine, and it is time for the club to prove that they want to do everything to keep that.
