Keith Hackett: Stuart Dallas can have no complaints about Leeds United handball v Liverpool
We’re delighted to welcome former Premier League referee Keith Hackett to the MOT Leeds News team. Each week, Hackett will discuss the big moments from the latest Leeds United games and deliver his verdict on whether his successors got their calls right or wrong…
Keith Hackett has insisted that Leeds United can have no complaints about the handball decision against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The ex-Premier League official admitted that there is always a “danger” when a defender such as Stuart Dallas in this case is moving back at pace.
Leeds went on to concede another penalty in the 6-0 defeat an Anfield, with Mohamed Salah putting both away with ease.

“On the Dallas handball, there are no doubts for me that was the right decision,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“This is the danger, when a player is moving in, there is a natural movement but on this occasion, he’s held his elbow in and the rest of his arm was outstretched and he’s handled it.
“It’s a tough call, but it’s a correct one – it didn’t leave any doubt.”

Unfortunately, there can’t be too many complaints about this one.
If it was at the other end, we all would have been screaming and shouting for Michael Oliver to point to the spot.
Having said that, it would be brilliant to get some of that luck coming our way, starting this weekend against Spurs at Elland Road.
