‘Incredible’ – Exclusive: Pundit reacts to latest QSI-Leeds news after comments from Whites CEO

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has said that the experience in both business and football on a global level that QSI would bring to Leeds is “incredible”.

He also said investment from QSI would lead to an “absolutely fantastic partnership” with the club after Leeds said they’re looking for more than just money from investors.

Investment from QSI has been talked about directly by owner Andrea Radrizzani, who said it could propel Leeds into the upper echelons of spending in the Premier League.

More recently, rumours spread around the internet that a deal had been agreed with QSI.

Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear said just this week that Leeds would actively welcome investment that goes beyond just money – something the QSI group would definitely bring, according to Robinson.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, “I think Andrea Radrizzani will want to be involved at Leeds for the foreseeable future, he’s a big part of what’s going on.

“He bought the stadium, he’s been integrated into the community, he’s been taken into their hearts and I think he’s the best owner Leeds have had for a number of years.

“So many owners have come in and said they’d buy the stadium, the first thing Radrizzani did was buy the stadium. He’s done what he said he was going to do and that’s why the fans have taken to him.

“I think he’s got to the point where he just needs some more investment to get the club to where he wants it to go.

“As a business, it’s grown on and off the field from where it was five or six years ago, and from 10 years ago it’s unrecognisable.

“I think it would be a good business opportunity for him to get some more money to go alongside his vision.

“If it is QSI then you get more experience. The background and knowledge of business and football from QSI is incredible and it would be an absolutely fantastic partnership if it happened.”

We think that a deal will be struck after Leeds get into the Premier League and if we were betting men we’d say that investment from QSI is the most likely source.

However, we’re not expecting a full takeover but partial investment to go alongside the San Francisco 49ers, leaving Radrizzani at the helm. We’d be very happy with that.
