‘Unbelievable’ – Exclusive: Paul Robinson reveals ‘season-turning point’ for Leeds

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has said that the comeback against Millwall on Tuesday night was a “huge, huge, result” and a “season-turning point” for Leeds.

Leeds had won one in eight going into the game and were facing yet another defeat when they went 2-0 down in the first half.

However, Leeds came out for the second half fighting and got a goal back almost instantly through Patrick Bamford.

He completed the comeback shortly after Pablo Hernandez equalised in the 62nd minute.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said, “It was an unbelievable game on Tuesday night. A season-turning point let’s say.

“I thought Leeds were going to play Ben White in the holding role with Phillips out but he put Klich in there and he showed his worth.

“He’s played a lot of football this season, 30 games I think, but he was fantastic in what was a really hard game for Leeds.

“It was a huge, huge result for Leeds and Klich was a really big part of it.”

The result put Leeds top of the table after West Brom – also on a horrible run of form – lost again.

However, there will still be worries around Leeds. The last two wins have been 5-4 against Birmingham and 3-2 against Millwall. Leeds have conceded 17 goals in the last nine games.

A shutout would be very welcome and Leeds will be looking for that at Elland Road when they play Wigan on Saturday.

West Brom are currently two points back in second with Nottingham Forest a further two points behind in third.
