Elvedi would ‘undergo thorough Leeds medical’ after £10m transfer news
Leeds United target Nico Elvedi may not be at 100 per cent fitness after his injury earlier in the season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Whites will want to look into it more during a medical if he does indeed join from Borussia Monchengladbach in this transfer window.
German publication Bild reported on 2 January that the Elland Road outfit are in hot pursuit of the Switzerland centre-back and he’s understood to be valued at £10million by the German club. [Givemesport, 31 December]
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Elvedi: “He had an injury earlier this season and he may still not be at a 100 per cent post that.
“Based on time missed, roughly a month, I’d reckon it was a Grade 2 out of 4 injury.
“The key positive is that there haven’t been any issues since but of course Leeds will want to look into it more during any medical.”
Leeds United are unlikely to spend big money on Nico Elvedi
While Elvedi would undoubtedly strengthen this Leeds side, centre-back is not an area of concern for them.
They need to bring in a striker as Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford have all been unreliable in the final third.

Also, given Elvedi’s price tag, unless the Whites are in the Premier League, this is not a transfer they can afford.
In other Leeds United, a midfielder would “pass his medical” ahead of a potential transfer with the Whites already tabling a multi-million bid for him.
