Daniel Farke sack: Former Leeds United player makes claim after what he’s heard
Daniel Farke will continue facing pressure from Leeds United fans until his team achieve “perfection”, Paul Robinson has said.
Many fans voiced their frustrations following the Whites’ 3-3 draw against Hull City on Saturday 4 January, with much of the noise being fired at the manager due to his lack of substitutions.
Of course, Illan Meslier took a lot of heat for his unacceptable blunder, but with Leeds still sitting top of the Championship after 26 games, Robinson has become baffled by talk about Farke’s job.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “In-game manager is definitely a point. But, looking at it, I can understand the result wasn’t good enough, having surrendered a two-goal lead, but there’s so much unneeded negativity.
“Leeds are sat top of the Championship. They’re top of the league, a point clear of Burnley, a point clear of Sheffield United and three points clear of Sunderland. You take the two draws in isolation.
“It’s always the thing with Leeds. If they’re not achieving perfection, there’s always going to be that criticism. The game at Hull had a lot to criticism, but they’re sitting top of the league.
“The next four league games are season-defining for me – Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City, Burnley, Cardiff City.”
Daniel Farke talk nonsense despite Leeds United draw v Hull City
With such a young squad, Farke’s side are bound to slip up on a couple of occasions this season, as they already have against the Tigers, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall.

Despite those setbacks, the Whites are still atop the Championship table, winning 53 points from a possible 78, a form which should see them over the line to Premier League promotion.
Football is a very emotional sport, leading to supporters reacting very quickly after results or major incidences, which is likely where calls for Farke’s job have come from.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites’ EFL rivals have joined the growing transfer race to sign Joe Gelhardt.
