‘Absolutely huge’ – Exclusive: Pundit reacts to report Radrizzani set for major transfer coup

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has said that Leeds now have strong links with an “outstanding” club, amid an exciting report that claims PSG want to send two of their first-team players to Elland Road on loan next season.

90min.com claimed that PSG are keen to loan Adil Aouchiche and Tanguy Kouassi to Leeds after extending both of their contracts. Both have broken into the first team this season.

The link is Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani and PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The two have been in talks over Leeds investment, with Al-Khelaifi also chairman of Qatar-based QSI.

Robinson has said the growing relationship with PSG could be “absolutely huge” for Leeds.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “Nasser and Radrizzani are obviously good friends. They’ve done business before in their media businesses, they’ve socialised together, they know each other really well.

“The growing relationship there is going to be absolutely huge for Leeds and potentially to both clubs if Leeds are in the Premier League.

“Having access to a pool of players from PSG is a fantastic option for Leeds.

“They’ve got very strong relationships with two outstanding clubs now, PSG and Man City. You look at Jack Harrison and the ability to buy a player like Poveda who we’re going to see a lot more of next year. It puts Leeds in a very strong position going forward and in the Premier League.

“It’s a big doff of the cap to Bielsa too. He plays a brand of football that’s attractive to other clubs, just his whole outlook on the game.

“He’s very well regarded by others in the game and he’s a manager that other clubs will trust with their very best talent, no shadow of a doubt.”

Bielsa is doing the business on the pitch and Andrea Radrizzani is putting all the blocks in place off the pitch.

It’s a holistic approach to Leeds that we’re fully behind and the latest link with the two highly-regarded PSG players is the latest proof that things are on the up at Leeds.

Both players are young but both have broken through into the PSG first-team this year. It’s a very exciting development.
