Predicted Leeds United starting XI v Leicester City

Leeds United welcome Leicester City to Elland Road on Sunday looking to put together some form in the Premier League.

The Whites finally returned to winning ways against Norwich City last weekend, coming away from Carrow Road with a 2-1 victory.

Marcelo Bielsa should have some names returning to the fold in West Yorkshire in this last game before the latest international break.

Illan Meslier will continue in goal, despite looking far from his best in that big win at Norwich on Sunday afternoon.

Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo should be available to return and if so, both would be thrown straight into the starting XI – they have been missed.

Jamie Shackelton went off injured at Norwich and looks to have a little problem that won’t disappear without a rest.

Finishing off the defence will be Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente, meaning despite his form, Pascal Struijk will be dropped.

Kalvin Phillips starts, which is guaranteed in every single game this season should he be fit and ready to go.

Ahead of him will finally be Stuart Dallas once again, who will move forward from full-back and Mateusz Klich.

The Polish international has started the previous two games on the bench, getting in the perfect rests he needed, and allowing him to come into this one fully fresh and raring to go.

Jack Harrison will be the third and final man dropped, he was simply shocking at Norwich and clearly needs time to rest this apparent rib injury that may be affecting his form.

Raphinha and Dan James caused problems at Norwich, as the Brazilian always does – hopefully, the Welsh speedster can continue to improve with more game time and prove his worth.

Finishing off will be Rodrigo, who has really stepped up over the past fortnight, with this one likely to come too soon for Patrick Bamford.

Here’s how we expect the Whites to line up on Sunday…
