MOT View: Thorp Arch footage surely proves Raphinha will miss Leeds v Liverpool

Leeds United have released training ground footage from this week ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Marcelo Bielsa has been hit with a number of blows already in the past week, with Liam Cooper certainly missing through suspension after his red card against Manchester City.

Raphinha and Rodrigo are also big doubts for this evening against the Premier League champions, with our big-money signings both nursing injuries.

The Whites released the footage on their official Instagram account in the past hour, and it has delivered some devastating news.

Raphinha was nowhere to be seen in the minute-long compilation, and that should confirm that he will miss out completely against Liverpool.

There was a further hint of the selection we should expect, with the attacking front-four in a huddle with one of Bielsa’s right-hand men.

In there was Patrick Bamford, Tyler Roberts, Helder Costa and Jack Harrison, as the quartet we had in the Championship look set to reunite yet again.

Big blow.

The Brazilian has been a major part of our success this season, and it would be a major shame to see him missing against Liverpool.

Raphinha tormented Manchester City on the counter-attack last week, and that was his undoing as he was crunched by Fernandinho in the final moments.

This is now a huge opportunity for Costa to prove himself alongside Harrison, with consecutive starts for the first time in months.

The Angolan international has been strongly criticised at times since promotion, and after a strong showing at City, he will want to back it up tonight.

It will take something special to take the spot of Raphinha, fingers crossed.
