Leeds United ‘must go all out for Buendia deal’ amid Aston Villa transfer update

Leeds United must now go all out if they want to sign Emi Buendia this winter.

The Argentine has been linked with a switch from Villa Park to Elland Road but a deal hasn’t been struck between the sides.

The Whites did make an approach for the 28-year-old in the summer transfer window but their advances were turned down by Unai Emery’s side [The Square Ball].

Regardless of what has happened in the past, Daniel Farke and Co. must now push to sign the attacking midfielder before anyone else steps in.

Leeds United must go all out for Emi Buendia

The former Norwich City star has been handed very limited minutes in B6 this campaign after recovering from a long-term injury.

After just 71 Premier League minutes so far this season, a move away from the West Midlands could make sense for the diminutive attacker.

There is interest from Leeds but now River Plate have emerged as a potential destination for Buendia if he is to leave Villa [DSports Radio].

El Millonario are said to see him as an “excellent addition” to their squad which, when combined with a return to his homeland, could represent an attractive prospect for the ex-Getafe man.

Now the Whites have to work quickly to make sure that this link to the Argentine giants doesn’t go further, which may be easier said than done.

If Farke can offer first-team assurances that suit the Villa man and the LS11 club puts forward an offer that the Villans can’t turn down, interest from River shouldn’t matter.
