Leeds United fans across the country are all keen for Joe Rodon to join the club on a permanent transfer, and they may still get that wish this summer.

Tottenham have expressed their willingness to sell the 26-year-old defender in the summer transfer market, with the player not in Ange Postecoglou's plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That will only be Spurs' loss following a sensational campaign at Elland Road, quickly becoming a fan favourite despite the Whites missing out on promotion to the Premier League.

While losing the Championship play-off final against Southampton could have a telling impact on Leeds re-signing Rodon this summer, the whole situation is currently up in the air.

However, fans may have been handed a sliver of hope, with the centre-half's brother, Sam Rodon, making his feelings known via X [4 June] as he posted an image of Rodon in a Leeds kit.

Could this be a hint about Rodon's imminent transfer? Or is Sam just like the rest of us, hoping for the move to happen?

Could Leeds United still sign Joe Rodon this summer?

Considering the Welshman's performances in the Championship this season, it would be extremely surprising if no Premier League clubs were keeping tabs on the defender for next season.

He has proven his quality time and again on the international stage, showcasing his no-nonsense defending, tenacity and passion on the pitch, and ability to lead by example.

Due to missing out on promotion, Leeds are likely to sell multiple key players this summer, though the club must ensure that Rodon is a player they retain following his loan spell at Elland Road.

With fellow countrymen Ethan Ampadu and Dan James already at the club, the 26-year-old settled into life in Yorkshire very quickly and will leave fans heartbroken if a permanent move does not come to fruition.

Let's hope this post by his sibling, who is never one to keep his thoughts quiet, is a positive sign of what is to come.
