Diego Llorente to start as star trio could miss out - Leeds United predicted XI v Liverpool after Jesse Marsch team news
Jesse Marsch could be forced into three changes to the Leeds United starting line-up to play against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday due to an injury crisis.
Speaking to the media on Thursday (27 October), Marsch confirmed that Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas will definitely be missing for the trip to Merseyside but added that he could also be without Tyler Adams, Liam Cooper, Rodrigo, Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt and Leo Hjelde [LeedsLive].
It would be a major blow for Leeds to be without the more senior players mentioned there, especially as it means Diego Llorente may have to return to the side to replace captain Cooper at centre-back.
Matuesz Klich is also predicted to make his first start of the Premier League season in the centre of the midfield, replacing Sinisterra with Brenden Aaronson moving out wide.
Patrick Bamford is then expected to replace Rodrigo up front.
Illan Meslier is predicted to start in goals behind a back-four of Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Llorente and Pascal Struijk.
Marc Roca could start in the holding midfield role by himself as he did against Fulham last week due to Adams’ injury issue.
Sam Greenwood may get the nod to start again in the midfield alongside Klich, who’s been substituted into every single one of Leeds’ Premier League matches this season.
Aaronson is expected to start on the right-wing with Sinisterra potentially out while Jack Harrison could start on the left with Bamford up front in the lone striker role.
In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani has shared a three-word tweet about what’s happened at Leeds this week.
