Leeds United transfer news: Daniel Farke keeping ‘close tabs’ on Bayern Munich starlet Malik Tillman after Rangers loan
Daniel Farke may be keeping “close tabs” on Bayern Munich starlet Malik Tillman as he prepares to undertake a major rebuild as Leeds manager, according to Leeds-Live.
The German took over as manager at Elland Road after weeks of speculation and is preparing to enter the transfer market to bolster the squad with several exits expected over the coming weeks.
And with attacking signings expected, it has been suggested that Farke could look to use his relationship with Thomas Tuchel to sign Tillman after his successful loan spell at Rangers last season.

“It might be a long shot but Farke may well be keeping close tabs on Malik Tillman’s situation following his successful loan at Rangers,” they wrote (5 July).

Tillman has been lined up for a Premier League move after Bayern Munich exercised their buy-back option immediately to stop Rangers signing him permanently.
But with minimal experience at the highest level, a move to a coach that Tuchel knows well and trusts in a competitive league could be a great move for player and club.
Tillman shone in Scotland as one of the best players in that division last year, but moving to the Championship would arguably be a sideways move.

Adding in an option to buy him permanently if we are promoted to the Premier League could be something that appeals to everyone though, and could go a long way to strengthening the team ahead of the new season.
It’s a very interesting possibility and one that fans should be excited about if it happens, but it is definitely a long shot considering the reported interest in the player from the likes of Brighton.
