Reliable journalist: Three PL clubs among number of scouts to watch Leeds U23s v Hull

There is no hiding that Carlos Corberan has transformed Leeds United under-23s since he arrived at the club.

The Spaniard has become a massive part of the first-team staff as well under Marcelo Bielsa, and his influence can’t be overlooked at Thorp Arch.

Only one problem has arisen since he joined. The success has been joined by a number of big clubs becoming interested in some of the Whites’ brightest talents.

Players such as Jack Clarke have recently secured big-money moves to the Premier League, and although that hasn’t hurt Leeds much, it might not be the last.

Reliable journalist from Leeds Live, Beren Cross revealed before the Yorkshire derby that a number of clubs were watching the clash at Thorp Arch.

It was claimed that three Premier League clubs were amongst them, those being Manchester United, Newcastle, and Leicester City.

“Scottish FA, Ipswich, Lincoln, Man Utd, Scunthorpe, Tranmere, OH Leuven, Newcastle, Blackpool, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Leicester all represented among the scouts here today,” Cross wrote on his personal Twitter account.

The difference between a number of the clubs will show how a number of these clubs will be targeting contrasting deals if any.

Teams such as Lincoln, Ipswich, Scunthorpe, Tranmere, and Blackpool will most likely be looking for loan options for the second half of the season in the lower leagues.

Manchester United, Newcastle, and Leicester will more likely be looking for permanent deals for youngsters to go into their academy and improve that way for the future.
