Done deal: U23s player exits Leeds on loan

Under-23s forward Kun Temenuzhkov has sealed a deadline day exit from Leeds United, it has been confirmed.

Spanish Segunda Division B club La Nucia announced via their official Twitter account on Friday afternoon that the Bulgaria Under-21 international has joined them on a temporary deal from the Whites.

Temenuzhkov has barely featured for Leeds’ Under-23s this season but is now set to spend the rest of the season in Spain.

The 19-year-old Bulgarian, who joined Leeds from Barcelona, arrived at Thorp Arch as a very highly-rated player.

He had been compared to Luis Suarez and been labelled as one of the best young talents in world football by the Guardian but, in his time in Yorkshire, we have not seen any indication of that.

Temenuzhkov, who’s made one senior appearance for the Whites, is one of Victor Orta’s many foreign imports in the Under-23s that have failed to live up to expectations.

Maybe we will see some of the one-time first-team player again someday but based on how poorly his spell at Leeds has gone and the fact that he is heading to the lower leagues in Spain, that seems very unlikely.
