Willy Gnonto waits for new Everton bid as Leeds United decide on £25m offer
Willy Gnonto is waiting for Everton to make a new bid for him after their latest offer was rejected by Leeds United, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper reported on page 19 of its print edition on 17 August that the Whites have turned down an offer worth £25million for the 19-year-old forward.
The Italy international is keen on securing a move away from Elland Road after Sky Sports reported on 10 August that he asked not to be selected for the Whites’ game against Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup on 9 August.

Hard stance
Leeds have taken a hard stance over the Gnonto situation and made it clear that they don’t want to let him leave the club this summer.
The latest offer on the table from Everton was worth about £25million, as Sky Sports also reported on its live transfer blog on Wednesday [16 August, 15:38], and that’s a lot of money for the Championship club to turn down as they look to get a few more additions in themselves during the transfer window.
But the Whites clearly feel the forward is worth more than that and, due to there not being a release clause in his contract, they have every right to decide that he isn’t going anywhere.

The Toffees are reportedly operating under financial constraints during this transfer window, so it seems unlikely they will offer too much higher than the money that’s already been put on the table for the Italian.
But the teenager is currently training away from the rest of the squad after making it clear he wants to leave West Yorkshire, so it will be a difficult task to try and integrate him back in with the rest of the team if he does end up staying at Elland Road.
