Willy Gnonto exit: ‘£50m transfer claim’ emerges from Leeds United
Leeds United will demand at least £50million to sell Wilfried Gnonto on Deadline Day, according to Justin Allen.
The Sun journalist reported via the publication’s website on Sunday (2 February) the Italian is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and is a player to watch in the closing stages of the winter transfer window.
Allen also reported on 27 January that the Whites are open to offers for Gnonto ahead of a “financially lucrative” move to the Middle East after seeing his game time reduced in recent weeks.
Leeds United to sell Wilfried Gnonto?
Unfortunately for Gnonto, he will not be moving to Saudi Arabia before the deadline – the Saudi Arabian transfer window closed on 31 January.
That being said, the Italian has been mooted to make a Premier League move in the near future and could be on the radar of several top-flight outfits as the 11pm deadline draws near.
Although the 21-year-old has the potential to develop into an elite-level talent at Elland Road, Daniel Farke is blessed with a plethora of attacking talent.
Dan James and Manor Solomon have run riot in the Championship this year, with Largie Ramazani the preferred deputy to the pair – Gnonto is the fourth-choice option.

Therefore, with Premier League promotion a real possibility this year, Farke and Angus Kinnear will embark on an extensive squad rebuild in the summer to ensure top-flight survival and will need as much money in the bank as possible.
If a side, Premier League or abroad, want to test the waters for Gnonto on Deadline Day, it is certainly a possibility Leeds must consider.
