Wilfried Gnonto wants to leave Leeds United in January for Premier League or Serie A
Wilfried Gnonto wants to leave Leeds United in January and move to the Premier League or Serie A, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
Writing in their print edition (2 November, page 15) the Italian news outlet reports that the 19-year-old winger’s “will has not changed” after he tried to push through a move in the summer.
While that failed, he is still keen to leave for a move to the top flight in England or Italy but Lazio have ruled themselves out of the running as his value is deemed too high.

Everton are known to have an interest in the Italy international while AS Roma have also been linked with a move ahead of the January transfer window.
Shock
Absolutely nobody associated with Leeds will be surprised to hear that Gnonto is starting to kick up a fuss again as the window draws closer.
He refused to play or train in the summer only for the 49ers to stand firm and make it clear they weren’t willing to let him leave, and he was eventually forced to apologise to the squad.
But Daniel Farke made it clear that there would be no third chance if he were to do it again, and he seems prepared to cut ties to make that happen if the right interest in him gets shown.

But Leeds are in a different situation this time around as we’re playing well and Farke has found a system that suits our attacking players well, with Gnonto not even in the team right now.
If a big offer of around £30m was to come in during the January window then most would be much happier to see him move on now than they were in the summer, with the opportunity to reinvest in players Farke wants potentially the difference between getting promotion or not.
