James Justin was one of Leeds United's standout performers against Arsenal on Saturday.

The defender put the Whites ahead at the Emirates Stadium, but it was the hosts who were able to come back and win 2-1.

It was Daniel Farke's side's first defeat in the Premier League this season, but there were still several positives to take from the game.

Justin was one of them, as his goal only topped the cherry on the cake of what was a splendid individual performance.

The 28-year-old arrived at Elland Road last summer after making the move from Leicester City, and has already played in a multitude of positions.

Now, Justin's move to Leeds is being looked at as one of the best bargain signings in recent times.

Why Leeds are backed to pay seven-figure bonus for James Justin

Justin has played at centre-back for Leeds this season, filling in with Joe Rodon currently injured.

He was up and down the right flank all game against Arsenal, despite having to defend Noni Madueke all game.

Interestingly, the Englishman took the joint-most shots in the game with three, as he combined well with Gabriel Gudmundsson for his goal.

Leeds Live hailed Justin for a "magnificent" display against Arsenal, highlighting the £8million that the Whites initially paid for the defender last year.

They suggested that the included £2m in add-ons has yet to be paid, but with the way things are going, it's inevitable that Leicester will receive the full bonus payment.

He's been described as a "jewel" for Farke, who is less than half of the way through his contract in LS11.

What James' performance vs Arsenal means for Jaka Bijol

Justin is doing everything he can to prove that he deserves to star, even if Farke has all of his defenders fit and available.

Tarik Muharemovic has been playing at left centre-back while Rodon has been out injured, with Nico Elvedi occupying the central role.

Farke would obviously like to have three natural centre-backs in his backline, with Jaka Bijol another option for him to use.

However, Bijol's wait for another start in the Premier League will have to go on, especially if Justin's performances keep on getting better as they have been.
