Victor Orta wants to sign Crysencio Summerville for Sevilla in Leeds United transfer news

Sevilla Sporting Director Victor Orta wants to raid Leeds United and sign attacker Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

Summerville, 21, has been linked with a transfer away from Elland Road after the club were relegated from the Premier League, with Everton and Feyenoord two of the sides interested in his services.

Orta, who was responsible for signing the Dutchman from Feyenoord for £1.3million in 2020, is now looking to come back and haunt his old club by signing him again for Sevilla.

The Spanish side have already been credited with moves for Rodrigo and Tyler Adams this summer, and the Whites are unlikely to stand in Sumerville’s way if they recieve a suitable offer for his services.

Trouble

It was always likely that Orta would look to make good use of his contacts in West Yorkshire, but if Summerville were to leave for Sevilla, it would leave a rather bitter taste in the mouth.

Since being sacked by Leeds towards the end of the 2022/23 campaign, Orta has managed to land on his feet, getting a top job with a regular European outfit and now seemingly looking to poach as many Leeds players as possible after the club’s relegation to the Championship.

Orta will have a good rapport with players such as Summerville and their camps, something that will surely come in handy if any transfers are explored further down the line.

Summerville is destined for the Elland Road exit this summer, but a move within the Premier League would be the preferred destination due to the financial weight of some of the clubs interested in his signature and the transfer fees that they can offer.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are planning to offer an exit-bound ace less money to stay according to Phil Hay.
