Underwood belief emerges at Leeds United after Paixao email transfer confirmation
Adam Underwood has worked with Daniel Farke this transfer window to reinforce the Leeds United squad.
The Whites have made six additions to their team so far, with the German manager now boasting impressive depth in defence and midfield.
Paixao has been a concrete target at Elland Road in recent weeks, and the West Yorkshire outfit were leading the race for his signature at one point.
Olympique Marseille now look set to sign the Feyenoord forward, despite the Peacocks getting email confirmation at one point.

Leeds United had 50 to 60 per cent chance of Paixao transfer
Despite agreeing to a deal with Feyenoord and Paixao, Underwood was never sure about a transfer, according to the YEP.
The newspaper reported on 30 July that club sources revealed the Whites got an email stating approval from the Eredivisie outfit and were told the Brazilian forward had no issues with the salary proposal from Elland Road either.

It’s been claimed that the West Yorkshire outfit’s sporting director rated their chances at 50 to 60 per cent even after all the details were hashed out.
It goes to show that the Peacocks did everything in their power to sign the 25-year-old, but it was out of their hands in the end.

Dilane Bakwa now eyed as Paixao alternative at Leeds
Strasbourg winger Dilane Bakwa has emerged as an alternative target for Leeds after missing out on Paixao.
While the left-footed winger mostly plays on the right wing, he’s also capable of being deployed on the left side of the attack.
The 22-year-old Frenchman developed at Bordeaux before moving to the Stade de la Meinau, where he caught a lot of people’s attention with his performances last season.
- Strasbourg signed Bakwa in 2023 for £8.6million.
- The 22-year-old scored six goals and provided nine assists in Ligue 1 last season.
- The winger has six caps for France’s Under-21 side.
Leeds have Juventus forward Timothy Weah on their radar, but it remains to be seen whether the United States international will move to the Premier League.
Farke will also want to strengthen the number nine position due to the uncertainty around Mateo Joseph’s future at Elland Road.
Paixao felt like the perfect attacker to strengthen the German manager’s squad for the Premier League season, and only time will tell who they will now end up signing.
