Under-23 striker sends Instagram story from airport after journalist claims he is leaving Leeds

Leeds United Under-23 striker Kun Temenuzhkov has posted an Instagram story of him arriving at Barcelona airport on Thursday night.

It puts more meat on the bones of a claim from a Spanish journalist that the 19-year-old is homing on on a move.

Angel Garcia Alvarez had posted on Twitter, “I am told that Lleida Esportiu is going to sign Leeds United reserve player Kun Temenuzhkov.”

Lleida Esportiu is situated 154km inland from Barcelona.

Temenuzhkov posted a picture from Barcelona airport accompanied by a large question mark.

Temenuzhkov starred for Carlos Corberan’s Under-23s last season but has completely vanished from the side recently.

Ryan Edmondson is the established number one striker for the Under-23s and has scored eight goals this season.

However, even that hasn’t been enough to get him near the first team.

Given that Temenuzhkov has vanished from the Under-23s, it seems like his time at Elland Road has come to an end, with a return back to Spain now seeming like the most likely option for the youngster.

If that’s the case, we wish him all the luck in the world at his new club.
