Tyler Adams completes Leeds United medical ahead of £20m deal – Fabrizio Romano
Leeds are set to announce Tyler Adams as their fifth summer signing this week after the player completed a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Whites agreed a deal worth £20m with RB Leipzig earlier this week and the player agreed terms on a five-year deal [ESPN, July 5] at Elland Road.
The player flew to England and has now completed his medical ahead of the transfer, with Romano claiming an official statement is set to follow later this week via his personal Twitter account.
Romano also shared that the £20m transfer fee including add-ons will be paid to the Bundesliga club over the course of five years.
Boom
This is brilliant news for Leeds and brilliant news for manager Jesse Marsch, who identified Adams as his first-choice target to replace Kalvin Phillips.
The two have worked together twice previously, with Marsch handing the player his debut as a 16-year-old at New York Red Bulls, before working together at RB Leipzig too when Marsch was assistant and then as manager at the start of the 2021/22 season.

It was very important for the club to get the deal done quickly, simply because it’s better for everyone for the player to be integrated into the squad as soon as possible.
With the pre-season tour on its way later this week, it will be perfect timing to have him involved from the start so he can hit the ground running once the Premier League season starts next month.
Now all eyes turn to the Raphinha replacement, which is also hopeful of being completed this week.
