Scott Godden signed his first professional contract at Leeds United on 7 July and it's not understood to be end of business at Thorp Arch.

According to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue, two more pro deals are expected to be announced by the end of the month.

The Whites have seen a number of youngsters make it to the first team in the last few seasons and Godden surely will be hoping to add to that list.

Via Twitter, Donnohue wrote, "Scott Godden signs his first professional contract with #LUFC, following the Max McFadden announcement y'day. A couple more pro deals and academy contracts/scholar signings expected this month at Thorp Arch."

Good news

Players committing their futures to the club is good news, particularly after they've recently suffered relegation.

Even for youngsters, they could have well go on to join teams in the top flight but believe in the Leeds academy and the training at Thorp Arch.

The fact that so many young players have gone to make it for the senior side is an added incentive that good performances for the under-21s can see them make their first-team debuts.

Godden is also an impressive young talent who can take his game to the next level with the under-21s and soon be in line for a senior debut.

Daniel Farke will also be keeping an eye on him among many youngsters and it remains to be seen if he invites any of them for first-team pre-season training.

A lot of managers tend to call up youngsters on the brink of the first team to train with the seniors and learn the ropes.
