Tottenham working on deal to sign Leeds United ace Archie Gray after Brentford development

Tottenham are working on a deal to sign Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray, according to David Ornstein.

The journalist revealed via X on Sunday (30 June) that talks are ongoing between Spurs and the Whites after Brentford saw their offer turned down.

Nothing has been finalised but there is an expectation on all sides that a deal can be agreed.

Gray is leaving toward a move to Tottenham if he does leave Elland Road.

This Sunday morning transfer saga takes yet another dramatic twist.

Just as Leeds supporters have had the opportunity to make their coffees and catch up on the news that Brentford's proposed deal for Gray has collapsed, Spurs have swooped in.

The North London side are clearly wasting no time trying to get a deal across the line for Gray, demonstrating just how much talent the 18-year-old has.

Supporters at Elland Road would no doubt love to keep hold of Gray, but that appears as if it is going to be very difficult now.

It is no surprise that Gray would prefer a move to Tottenham over Brentford.

Furthermore, considering Spurs are likely to have much more money to throw around than the Bees, this deal is far less likely to collapse.

Leeds fans might therefore need to start saying their goodbyes to Gray. However, at least they look to be getting a good fee for the academy gem.
