This is how much Leeds will pay with ‘deal done’ to sign Noah Okafor

Leeds are closing in on the signing of AC Milan winger Noah Okafor as Daniel Farke continues to add to his attack at Elland Road.

Okafor looked good in his first season with the Italian giants, but dropped off in his second year through injuries, and was sent out on loan to champions Napoli in February.

After moving to Milan from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg for £12million in 2023, the Italian side are happy to make a profit on the winger.

With Okafor now increasingly likely to move to Leeds, supporters have been eager to learn how much they will be paying.

Leeds will pay £18million plus bonuses for Okafor

Leeds looked impressive in their Premier League opener with Everton as they won 1-0.

The Peacocks were awarded a late, controversial penalty for James Tarkowski’s handball, and Lukas Nmecha stepped up and scored the winner on debut.

However, the Whites lacked a focal figure up front for much of the game.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha expected to come into the side, they will have much-needed reinforcements on either side of them, with Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James to be joined by Okafor.

According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio on X, Okafor’s move to Leeds is a “done deal” and he will cost £18million including bonuses.

Given Okafor’s need to adapt to the Premier League, he isn’t expected to start immediately, with a tough trip to Arsenal next up.

However, as he gets more used to his new surroundings, he could find himself replacing Gnonto or James in the final third.

When will Okafor be announced by Leeds?

As it stands, the Whites are preparing documents for Okafor to sign before he undergoes a medical.

Leeds have already reached an agreement with AC Milan and are now just finalising the wingers’ contract, with a medical to follow.

Okafor is expected to sign a four-year contract with the option of another year and could be announced later on 19 August or 20 August.

He will be registered in time for Leeds’ next game away to Arsenal, though he is unlikely to start given James‘ and Gnonto‘s performances against Everton.
