Telegraph's Mike McGrath: Senior Leeds duo Rodrigo and Klich could leave this January
Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath has suggested Leeds senior stars Mateusz Klich and Rodrigo could leave this January.
A prediction by the Telegraph writer suggests the duo could be shown the exit door by the Whites after failing to nail down starting positions in the squad.
Rodrigo, currently on £100,000-a-week [Times], would free up wages to look at potential signings this window as the club push for Premier League survival.
Klich, who has been with the club since 2017 and celebrated promotion, could also be a casualty with Orta set to wield the axe.
In a section of the piece outlining who could depart, McGrath’s piece says: “Bielsa needs all the fit players he can get and has used young players to fill the bench. The likes of Rodrigo Moreno or Mateusz Klich have not been regular starters but it could be argued they are both needed for depth.”

In light of Leeds’ recent crises regarding COVID, injury and suspension, Bielsa will surely be looking to retain all the players he can.
Rodrigo has not proven to be of the quality to start regularly for the club. But with Bamford’s injury issues and a lack of experienced cover in attack, he is surely worth keeping hold of.
Rodrigo’s sale would certainly free up some space on the wage bill which is the only thing really going for this potential departure. If he was to leave, his wages could be used to sign loanees or a couple of younger heads to beef out the squad.
However, the club’s youngsters should be Bielsa’s priority as he looks to create a fertile breeding ground for senior talent from the club’s academy.
Klich also adds depth and wouldn’t garner much money if he was sold so I would say he is certainly worth keeping too.
In other Leeds news, another EFL club have joined the race to sign a young Whites forward.
