Spotted: Willy Gnonto footage emerges from inside Elland Road as Leeds United transfer speculation continues
Footage has emerged of Willy Gnonto in the Leeds United dressing room after the victory against Norwich City despite him not being named in the matchday squad.
Georginio Rutter posted a photo of himself with the Italian international on Instagram following the Whites’ 1-0 win over the Canaries on Wednesday (24 January), where he added the caption “Baby lova in the dressing room”.
It comes after Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported in his Daily Briefing on Wednesday that new contract discussions with the 20-year-old forward are “advancing well” despite reports still linking him with a move away from Elland Road in the January transfer window.

It’s interesting to see that Gnonto was in the dressing room after Leeds picked up another important three points against Norwich on Wednesday.
The winger has been continuously linked with a move away from Elland Road again during this window, but the club are adamant that they want to keep hold of him.
Despite his lack of starts over the past few months, it appears as though he is now more than happy to stay given that the contract talks are progressing.
After missing the game against the Canaries through injury, it’s encouraging to see that the Italian is still supporting the rest of the players and wants to be around the group even when he’s not involved.
He’ll be desperate to get back involved as soon as possible as he looks to help the Whites challenge for an instant return back to the Premier League this season.
