Spotted: Raphinha caught on camera at airport to complete Leeds United exit
Raphinha has reportedly been spotted arriving in Barcelona ahead of completing his big-money move away from Leeds United.
Barca Buzz shared an image of the 25-year-old Brazilian at El Prat Airport and he already seems to be wearing a Barcelona-branded polo shirt.
Leeds announced earlier on Wednesday (13 July) that an agreement in principle has been reached with Barcelona for Raphinha to head to Spain and undergo a medical.
There is also footage of airport staff loading suitcases upon suitcases – allegedly owned by Raphinha – into a vehicle as he closes in on his move to the Nou Camp.
He’s landed
Raphinha’s time as a Leeds United player is almost over.
And while many of us have been left frustrated by the constant back-and-forth with Barcelona and the ugly negotiating from Deco, we’ll have to remember Raphinha for the good things he did at Elland Road.
It’s not hard to do that, in all honesty.
The Brazilian has been one of the best players we’ve seen play for Leeds in the last few decades and he definitely deserves to play for one of the best teams in the world.
Barcelona aren’t the powerhouse they once were but they’re going to be closer to regaining their super club status with Raphinha on board.
Robert Lewandowski is also strongly linked with a move to the debt-ridden La Liga giants so they’ll have some attack next season – we just don’t have a clue how they’re actually affording it.
Let’s hope Leeds get as much money up front as possible because we don’t want to be in a situation where payments aren’t being made because so much cash is being thrown about at the Nou Camp when there’s no cash really there.
