Spotted: Nadiem Amiri footage emerges on Tuesday amid Leeds United transfer twist – Sky Sports journalist
Footage has emerged showing Nadiem Amiri back in training with Bayer Leverkusen after a move to Leeds United has fallen through.
Sky Sports Germany journalist Marlon Irlbacher tweeted a video on 29 August of the 26-year-old midfielder training for the Bundesliga side on Tuesday morning just hours after talks broke down with the Whites.
The Germany international had flown to West Yorkshire on Monday (28 August) after a fee had been agreed with Leverkusen, but he was unable to agree terms and now looks set to remain at the Bay Arena.
Confirmation
If there were any doubts about Amiri still possibly making the move to Leeds, then they have been quashed by the footage showing him back in training with Leverkusen.
The Whites will be extremely disappointed to see a move fall through for the midfielder after working hard over the past few days to get a deal in place and bring him to Elland Road for talks.
It had looked like it was just a matter of time before a deal was agreed upon, but it seems as though he was asking for more than Daniel Farke’s side were prepared to offer.

The Leeds boss will be frustrated to not be adding the midfielder to his ranks after he was reportedly the one pushing to land a deal for his compatriot.
But there isn’t any time for the club to wait around as they are still a little bit short in midfield and there are other deals out there to be done before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the week.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are in advanced talks to sign a Premier League defender.
