Sporting CP will not sign Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra before transfer deadline
Portuguese giants Sporting CP will not be signing Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra before Friday’s transfer deadline, report Record.
Writing on their official website in the live transfer blog (30 August, 11:02) the Portuguese newspaper report that the Colombian international is not in the club’s plans to strengthen their squad.
Sinisterra emerged as a target on Tuesday (29 August), with the Europa League side considering a move, but that has now been ruled out.

“Luis Sinisterra, 24-year-old Colombian winger from Leeds, is not in Sporting’s plans, according to Record,” they wrote.
“The player has been linked to the Lions in the last few hours”
Excellent
There were some worries and some nerves among fans when this transfer link emerged this week, because of the issues we have already had with Sinisterra in this window.
The player is obviously open to a move away from the club after going on strike for a brief period but while he has now come back into the squad after apologising to Daniel Farke, there is no smoke without fire.

There is clearly still plenty of interest in his signature and with days to go until the window closes, the prospect of a big bid being made to take him away from Elland Road can’t be ruled out.
Farke previously refused to rule out an exit, and there will be a price that the club have in mind that would see a move sanctioned.
In the attacking department we are well stocked right now with plenty of top options, but Sinisterra is among the best of them and losing him would be a blow so Sporting not pursuing him at this stage can only be a good thing.
