Sky Sports break Willy Gnonto exit news from Leeds United late on Tuesday
Everton could give up in their attempt to sign Leeds United forward Willy Gnonto and seek different options following multiple rejections, according to Sky Sports.
The broadcaster reported (1 August, 7:45 pm) that while a deal is not “beyond the realms of possibility”, the Toffees may seek new players to add to their attack after Leeds’ frequent rejection of their bids.
The Toffees could target a loan move for Renne’s Kamaldeen Sulemana, but if they are to secure Gnonto’s signature Leeds’s attitude to the deal must change.

Accept defeat
Leeds’ reported valuation of Gnonto sits at around £20million [Football Insider], but the Toffees have failed to reach this target in their attempt to stretch their reduced summer budget.
Now, perhaps they have accepted that Gnonto is not a realistic target and spending further time pursuing the Italian international’s signature would just be time wasted.

The 19-year-old could depart Elland Road this summer after Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League, but Everton have registered the most interest in his signature up to this point. Now they are reportedly looking elsewhere, Gnonto’s future is in doubt.
While Gnonto would be a valuable asset in the Championship next season, he would reportedly become restless if he was forced to spend a season in the English second division [GiveMeSport].
Everton are being smart here. Pursuing an unlikely deal at such a vital moment in the transfer window is a massive risk, especially considering much more work is needed if the Toffees want to significantly improve their attacking output from last season.

For Leeds United fans, perhaps this means that Gnonto could help fight it out in the Championship and help them achieve promotion back to the Premier League, with reports that he could perhaps be willing to remain at Elland Road if he receives a good offer from the club [talkSPORT].
For now, Gnonto does not look to be leaving Yorkshire just yet unless another side replaces Everton as the favourite for his signature.
In other Leeds United news,, the Whites are reportedly interested in a deal for a full-back from arch-rivals Manchester United.
