Sebastiaan Bornauw eyed for last-minute exit as Leeds transfer stance emerges
Sebastian Bornauw has been an outcast at Leeds, and he may be moved on in the winter transfer window.
Leeds signed Bornauw in the summer to offer extra depth in their defensive ranks, and that is exactly the role that he has played.
Daniel Farke has restricted the Belgian to eight matches in all competitions, including six appearances in the Premier League.
The Elland Road outcast is unlikely to forge his way into the manager’s plans, so a departure may make sense.

Who wants to sign Leeds ace Sebastiaan Bornauw?
Bornauw could push for a Leeds exit this month, as he is surely not satisfied with the lack of playing time so far this season.
A report from German outlet BILD on 21 January claimed that Koln want Bornauw to return on loan and the player wants to make the move, but the Whites want to sign a replacement first.
It states that the North Rhine-Westphalia club are in no rush to sign the Peacocks ace, due to returning players in defence, but are eyeing a last-minute deal.

The report warns the three-time German champions to be careful, as other Bundesliga sides are interested in signing him too.
Who could Leeds sign to replace Bornauw?
Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde has been linked with a move to LS11, as Farke looks for extra recruits at the back.
Another defender who could make the move to Yorkshire is Danilho Doekhi, who is out of contract with Union Berlin in the summer.
Toulouse’s Mark McKenzie is another player who has been touted as a potential addition for Farke’s side, with a £5million price tag on the American defender.
| Player | League appearances |
| Bornauw | 6 |
| Oosterwolde | 16 |
| Doekhi | 18 |
| McKenzie | 16 |
| Vavro | 5 |
Wolfsburg centre-back Denis Vavro is an alternative, and his agent has previously confirmed the Peacocks’ interest in the 29-year-old, who also has suitors in Italy, Spain and Germany.
If Bornauw was allowed to go, it makes sense for the Whites to bring in another option, as the likes of Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk have already picked up injuries this season.
Farke needs his team to have enough quality bodies to survive an injury crisis, and letting the Belgian leave without a replacement would be ridiculous, so the latest developments make sense.
