Robin Koch jets out to Germany to undergo medical for Leeds United loan exit – Sky Sports
Robin Koch is flying out to Germany as he edges closer to leaving Leeds United on loan, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany journalist reported on Thursday morning (6 July) that Koch, 26, is set to join Frankfurt on a season-long loan.
It is understood that the ex-Freiburg defender will undergo his medical on Thursday before finalising his temporary return to the Bundesliga.
Rebuild begins
Daniel Farke is in the building and Leeds United can finally press on with their summer recruitment plans.
In order to bring players in, Leeds need to first assess who won’t be at Elland Road next season and it seems Koch could be one of the first to not be on board at the club in the Championship.
We’re not sure what he’s done to win a move to Frankfurt, who finished seventh in the Bundesliga last season and will play in the upcoming Europa Conference League. But we’re not really fussed to see the Germany international moving on.

Koch is likely to be joined by a whole host of Leeds’ relegation flops in leaving Elland Road in the coming months.
Right now, it seems that loan deals are likely because if the Whites do win an instant return to the Premier League, they can then try and flog their players for a higher price or decide to keep them if they do well on their temporary spells away from the club.
We don’t see Koch being in Leeds’ long-term plans, however.
He had three seasons in the Premier League and struggled to stand out in either so we wouldn’t mind seeing the back of the German for good.
In other Leeds United news, Farke is already facing a major rebuild after taking the job with exits lined up
