Robin Koch ‘has decided’ to join Eintracht Frankfurt, one-year loan deal with Leeds United agreed
Robin Koch has decided to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal from Leeds United after rejecting Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli, according to BILD.
The German defender is set to leave Elland Road after the club’s relegation to the Championship, with Frankfurt seeing him as a “dream” signing this summer to bolster their defence.
Koch had interest from the likes of Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen too, while Manchester United were also linked, but the central defender has opted to joining Frankfurt with just details left to clarify between the clubs.

Expected
It has been on the cards for a while and there is never any smoke without fire, so it’s no shock that Koch is on the verge of an exit.
Daniel Farke’s arrival didn’t really help matters despite also being German, with the defender having already made his mind up about an exit for this summer to boost his chances of getting into the national team squad for Euro 2024.
He had plenty of interest and options but a return to the Bundesliga with a team that will be playing European football makes a lot of sense for him.

He will be playing regularly, playing in Europe and is clearly very important to the team’s plans for the upcoming season seeing as they have labelled him a “dream” signing.
The deal isn’t quite done yet but the general terms of a season-long loan are agreed, and we’ll soon see a goodbye message for a defender who was arguably our best in a shocking season.
In other Leeds news, Farke wants to use friendship to sign Euro wonderkid on loan this summer.
