Robin Koch could leave Leeds United on loan as Frankfurt expect decision ‘Imminently’

Robin Koch could leave Leeds for Frankfurt in a loan deal this week, with a decision on his future expected “imminently” according to 90min (26 June).

The Whites are expected to lose a host of stars this summer after their relegation to the Championship, with reports that Koch could leave for free due to a clause in his contract.

While that has been denied, Koch has now been tipped to leave on loan as he is in the final year of his deal with Frankfurt set to make a move with a decision anticipated as early as this week.

Leeds United

“Does Eintracht land a transfer coup with Robin Koch? Frankfurt’s chances of signing the 26-year-old should be good. A decision is imminent,” they wrote.

“Accordingly, it could even happen very quickly and a decision could already be made this week.”

Decision time

All of the transfer business at the club has been on hold while the club decide on who their next manager is going to be according to reports, but that is set to be sorted this week.

With that said, there are going to be plenty of transfer decisions to make this summer and the quicker they happen the better.

Leeds United

Leeds need to make sure they’re getting the best deals possible that they can for anyone who leaves, but they also need to balance that with giving themselves as much time as possible to bring in replacements.

The new manager will want to shape the squad in their own image and needs to know who is going to be part of the squad for the new season to know who is a priority to be replaced.

Koch is almost certain to leave the club considering his aspirations to play at Euro 2024 for Germany and his age, and the quicker he goes the quicker we can focus on replacements.

In other Leeds news, Victor Orta is returning to Elland Road to raid the club for yet another signing.
