Richard Keys names surprise next team for Patrick Bamford two months after Leeds United exit
Patrick Bamford’s time at Leeds United came to an end in the summer.
The striker produced multiple magical moments at Elland Road throughout his years at the West Yorkshire club, playing a part in two promotion campaigns.
Yet, in Bamford’s final season at Leeds, he was woeful, and it came as no surprise that Daniel Farke did not consider the striker as part of his plans.
Since being released, the former England international has been on the hunt for a new club as he looks to get his career back on track.

Richard Keys tells Everton to sign Patrick Bamford
As the weeks go on, the striker has had little luck finding a new club.
Recently, Bamford’s proposed move to Getafe was blocked, with manager Jose Bordalas not wanting the former Leeds man.
Yet, despite the interest abroad, the striker could easily get a new club in England.
Speaking on beIN Sports on 18 October, Richard Keys has backed Everton to sign Bamford to solve their issues in attack.
Gray said reflecting on a Toffees missed chance: “He’s got to score there Beto, sorry. It’s a major problem for Everton at centre-forward.”
Keys then replied: “They haven’t got one. I still don’t know why someone doesn’t sign Patrick Bamford. He’s a free agent who knows his way around. He’s certainly better than what [Everton] have.”
Daniel Farke may be regretting Bamford release
For Leeds, little has gone right of late, and a 2-0 defeat against Burnley has only raised relegation concerns.
Up top, the West Yorkshire side have been woeful, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin continuing to underperform.
Therefore, Farke may now be regretting his decision to release Bamford this summer.

While the striker was poor last season, he is unlikely to do any worse than the former Toffees man, who continues to fail to find the net.
This issue simply has to be sorted in January, or Leeds’ stay in the Premier League will be short-lived, and they will find themselves back where they started.
