Report shares whether Leeds have 2nd chance to sign Daniel James amid speculation

Leeds United will not get a second chance to sign Daniel James ahead of next season despite recent speculation surrounding his future.

At the weekend, the Sun reported that Manchester United will be open to sending the 22-year-old out on loan as they hunt down prime target Jadon Sancho.

It was not reported which clubs would be keen on signing James but after Leeds tried to land the Wales international on a loan-to-buy deal in January 2019, the chances are that the Whites would have tried again to sign a player who Marcelo Bielsa clearly admires.

However, the Manchester Evening News has since reported that Man United have no plans to send James out on loan and LeedsLive adds that Leeds have no chance of being able to sign the former Swansea winger.

Leeds were on the brink of signing James last year but this year, it does not seem as though they will come anywhere near.

Of course, we hope the Sun’s story ends up being right and we are able to see James out on the pitch in a Leeds shirt but it really is hard to see Man United loaning out what has been one of their best players this season.

Bielsa and Victor Orta might have already scoped out someone better than James for all we know.
