Dave is a huge Leeds fan and ardent disciple of Bielsa ball. A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

The name of Juan Foyth won't go away and a report now claims that a move to Leeds United for the international centre-back is edging closer.

TMW have provided the latest update and proclaimed in their headline "Leeds – Foyth getting closer".

The Italian outlet also claimed that Leeds were very "optimistic" of getting the deal done.

The report cites a £15m fee and claimed that Leeds are happy to pay the asking price.

Foyth's agent first started talk of the centre-back leaving Tottenham back in May.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Claudio Curti said after being asked if Foyth had a future at Spurs, "For what has happened in recent times, we don’t think so.

"We don’t judge the coach’s decisions and we don’t get involved in his job, but what’s clear is that the club’s project with Juan has changed.

"If he can’t have minutes in Tottenham we will have to look at the best options for him to develop and play anywhere else."

Foyth is an Argentina international and the right-footer would compliment Liam Cooper. Foyth can play on either side of the centre of defence or on the right.

If he's looking for a club where he's going to get game-time, where better than a club with just one senior centre-back on its books?

Foyth has talked in glowing terms about Bielsa, saying, "Bielsa is one of the best coaches in the world and it would be nice to be coached by him."

However, it would be easier to find Argentinian players who haven't said good things about Bielsa.

Given a choice, we'd prefer Marcos Senesi, although the Feyenoord man doesn't come with any Premier League experience.
