Leeds United are one of a number of clubs who are interested in signing Metz centre-forward Habib Diallo, according to Le Quotidien du Foot.
The French news outlet claims that Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Leicester are also keen to sign the 24-year-old Senegal international, who has scored 12 goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
It is understood that Chelsea originally wanted to sign Diallo in January when Olivier Giroud could have left Stamford Bridge while Leicester will pursue the ex-Stade Brest striker if they lose Jamie Vardy in the next transfer window.
As for Leeds, it seems that they may have to secure promotion to the Premier League to be able to sign Diallo due to his price-tag and the quality of clubs also interested in him.
As it stands, no one is sure when the summer transfer window will take place because the current coronavirus crisis has left major doubts surrounding the end date of this season and the start date of next season.
However, presuming the summer transfer window goes ahead and Leeds go up, Diallo is someone who fans may be pleased to see head to Elland Road due to his goalscoring record this season and with Le Quotidien du Foot reporting that clubs like Chelsea are keen on him.
In other Leeds United news, Barry Douglas has called one of his team-mates a “dark horse”.
