Report details what Leeds have said about fresh speculation surrounding Nketiah loan

Leeds United have not had anything confirmed to them by Arsenal in regards to the future of Eddie Nketiah at Elland Road, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Football.London reported earlier on Monday that Arsenal have decided to cancel the 20-year-old’s loan spell at Leeds due to his lack of game-time in the Championship.

Nketiah earned his first league start of the season on Sunday when the Yorkshire giants won 5-4 away at Birmingham.

However it is understood that Nketiah will have his return to Arsenal confirmed within a matter of days.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Leeds have said they are yet to be told what the Premier League club’s final decision on Nketiah is and doubts surround whether or not he will be available to play against West Brom on Wednesday.

If the England Under-21 international does feature at The Hawthorns on New Years Day then it would more than likely be his final appearance for Leeds.

Nketiah has been a good servant for Leeds, even though he has only made one Championship start.

He’s scored some important goals off the bench and made a game-changing impact week after week earlier on in the campaign.

Although his form has dropped slightly since his injury, it is still fair to assume that the 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him and you cannot blame Arsenal for wanting him to continue his development elsewhere.

In other Leeds United news, fans are still gushing over this 28-year-old for his performance at Birmingham.
